Bhajan Lal Sharma to take oath as Rajasthan CM today on his birthday

Bhajan Lal Sharma, the newly elected MLA from Rajasthan will take the oath of office as the state’s chief minister today on his 56th birthday. The swearing-in ceremony at Jaipur’s historic Albert Hall will be attended by BJP President JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The two MLAs for Dudu and Vidhyadhar Nagar, Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa, will take an oath to become the Deputy Chief Ministers of Rajasthan.

Governor Kalraj Mishra will administer the oath to the three. Before oath-taking ceremony, Prem Chand Bairwa offered prayers at the Moti Dungri Ganesh temple in Jaipur today, according to news agency ANI.

Massive security and seating arrangements have been made at the Albert Hall ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, with finishing touches being applied on Thursday night. It is anticipated that a sizable crowd will witness Bhajan Lal Sharma and his two deputies take the oath of office.

The swearing-in ceremony will begin at noon. Invitations to the ceremony have been sent to state chief ministers and central leaders, according to a BJP spokesperson, as reported by ANI.

The ANI story continued, quoting the spokesperson, “The main roads leading up to Jaipur have been decorated with posters and banners of various welfare schemes of the BJP-led Center along with cutouts of leaders.”

At a BJP legislative party meeting on Tuesday, December 12, he was announced as the party’s next chief minister. Rajnath Singh, Saroj Pandey, and Vinod Tawde, the party’s central observers, were also present.

In the most recent Assembly elections held in the state, BJP secured 115 seats, while the Congress managed only 69. The voting happened of 199 seats out of 200 seats.
