The Delhi Police authorities have promised the devotees protection and security during the two days of Araghya (prayers).The event will conclude with ‘Araghya’ to the rising Sun on Monday morning.

DCP Dwarka M Harsha Vardhan stated, “133 locations in Dwarka have been designated as chhath ghats. These are part of the preparations for Chhath Pooja. For the pooja, thousands of devotees will gather here. Extensive security precautions have been implemented in this regard. Our personnel will be stationed in the Chhath ghats, and additional external security will be involved in the festivities.
The DCP went on to say that women staff is also being stationed at the ghats to ensure safety, and that there was a meeting with the organizers of Chhath Pooja to guarantee adherence to dos and don’ts during the Chhath celebrations. All security precautions are in place, according to DCP Vardhan, regarding the safety of women and children at the ghats.

To make sure everyone was ready, Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi also went to ghats in the Dwarka neighborhood on Thursday. “The municipal corporation is imitating the Delhi government and undertaking the same preparations, including erecting ghats for Purvanchalis during Chhath Pooja each year… Cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld… Earlier, she told the reporters, “Insecticides will be sprayed to keep a check on dengue and malaria.”
