CM Arvind Kejriwal has demanded an early hearing from Supreme Court on his petition in the money laundering case related to Delhi liquor scam. The Supreme Court has asked Kejriwal’s lawyer to send an email regarding this. Kejriwal’s lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi presented this matter before the bench of Justice Sanjeev Khanna today.
Singhvi said that the Supreme Court had said to hear the petition against Kejriwal’s arrest in the week starting from April 29, but this case is now visible in the listing on May 6. Singhvi told the court that ED has also filed a reply in this case. In such a situation, hearing should be held next week. After this, Justice Sanjeev Khanna told Singhvi that you send an email, we will consider.
A few days ago, the investigating agency ED has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court on the petition filed against the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the custody of the lower court. In the affidavit, ED told the Supreme Court that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is the mastermind and conspirator of the excise scam. The High Court gave a clear decision after considering all the aspects. ED said that on the basis of evidence available, the High Court has accepted that Kejriwal committed money laundering.
