In the Thiruvannamalai region of Tamil Nadu, the wife of an Army soldier said that she was “stripped half-naked and brutally beaten” by a gang of people. She claimed that she was kicked by 40 guys in her breast and underbelly. Her statement is contrary to the jawan’s as he said that his wife was nearly beaten by 120 men in a video.
The Army jawan’s wife, Keerthi (28), said that on June 10, over 40 men entered her shop and ordered her to leave. She even claimed that as she tried to enter the store, they pulled and dragged her out. Keerthi was injured during the incident and was taken to the hospital.
Havildar Prabhakaran, an Army soldier currently stationed in Kashmir, shared a video on Facebook in which he claimed that 120 men had beaten up his wife and even thrown stuff from her shop.
According police, Prabhakaran has exaggerated the incident. The shop was visited on June 10 by a man named Ramu, whose father had rented the space to Prabhakaran’s father-in-law. After his father passed away, Ramu wanted the store back, so he went there to return the money to Prabhakaran’s in-laws, Jeeva and Udhaya.
However, the brothers attacked Ramu, and bystanders stepped in to defend Ramu, resulting in a fight. Police reported Keerthi, the wife of Prabhakaran, and her mother were at the store, but they weren’t attacked. Additionally, the police refuted Prabhakaran’s claim that his wife had suffered serious injuries. Keerthi said that the police wrote incident’s complain in their “own version”. She contrary to the police’s statement that her brother Jeeva only tried to protect her.
According to Keerthi Pichandi, Karthi, Mani, Aatukara Shankar, RV Shekhar, Jayagopi, Paalkara Selvaraj, and his son Hariharan were a few names from 40 people who attacked her. She claimed that after being kicked in the chest and underbelly, she had trouble breathing and urinating. She also had scratch marks on her arm after the incindent.
