Soldier goes missing in Kashmir’s Kulgam, blood found in his car; search launched
According to police, a soldier from the Indian Army is believed to have gone missing from the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, and a large search has been initiated to find him. Javed Ahmad Wani, a 25-year-old soldier, reportedly left on Saturday night to go grocery shopping but never came back.
Javed Ahmad Wani, an Indian Army personnel, was reportedly posted in Leh (Ladakh) and went missing around 8 pm on Saturday. His car was found in Paranhall later last evening,
Wani, a native of the Kulgam district’s Achathal area, was officially assigned to the Ladakh region. He was on leave and paying a visit to his house. According to reports, Wani’s family claims that he was taken from his car in the Kulgam district. The claims made by the police, who were still trying to figure out the cause of the soldier’s disappearance, which is not confirmed, though.

According to reports, Wani left for Chowalgam to get groceries but never came back. On Saturday night, when the soldier failed to arrive home, his family set out to look for him. Around 8 PM, Wani’s car was discovered in Paranhall, according to the police.

Additionally, according to his family, his slippers stained with blood were discovered in his car.
In the past, several soldiers at home on leave have been abducted and killed by terrorists in the area.
