HM Amit Shah Inaugurates BJP Training Camp

Union Home Minister Amit Shah reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to end Naxalism by 31 March 2026, ruling out any talks with Maoists who continue to carry arms.

While addressing the Kisan Sammelan in Nizamabad after inaugurating the National Turmeric Board headquarters, Shah urged Maoists to shun violence and join the national mainstream.

“No talks will be held with those holding guns,” he said. “Surrender, drop arms, and become part of the mainstream. That is our policy.”

Congress accused of shielding Maoists

Amit Shah alleged that the Congress party was trying to protect Maoists and might offer shelter to them in Telangana. He warned Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy not to let the state become a Maoist hub.

“The Congress supports talks with Maoists. We don’t. Talks are not possible with those who killed tribals, policemen and security personnel,” he stated.

He noted that 2,000 Naxalites had surrendered over the past 18 months, and said that those willing to surrender are welcome. “But those who continue to hold weapons will face action,” he warned.

Shah also accused Congress of surpassing BRS in corruption. “Earlier, Telangana was the ATM of KCR’s family. Now it has become the ATM of the Congress party,” he alleged.

Referring to national security, Shah spoke about India’s military response to terror attacks. “After Uri, there were surgical strikes. After Pulwama, we carried out air strikes. And after Pahalgam, we entered Pakistan and destroyed terror bases,” he said.

He mentioned Operation Sindoor and claimed India smashed the headquarters of terrorism in Pakistan.

“Congress did nothing when terrorists attacked. But under PM Modi, we responded with strength,” he said.

Targeting Rahul Gandhi, he said, “Even today, he raises questions. Let him look at Pakistan’s condition — he’ll find his answer.”

Shah concluded by saying that a double-engine BJP government is the only way forward for Telangana’s development and public welfare.
