Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister YS Sharmila joins Congress today

YSRTP chief & Andhra Pradesh CM’s sister YS Sharmila joined Congress, in presence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, in Delhi.

As per PTI, she said that Congress is the largest secular party in the country as it unwaveringly serves all communities and unites all sections of people.

On Wednesday night, Sharmila arrived in the nation’s capital. The Congress announced on Wednesday that a “very eminent personality” will join the party on Thursday at 10.30 am at the AICC headquarters in Delhi.

Responding to the reporter’s question if she is about to join Congress she said, “Yes, looks like it”.

Following her Tuesday party meeting in Hyderabad, Sharmila had announced that she and other leaders would meet with Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, the president of the All India Congress, and make a “crucial” announcement in Delhi.

Sharmila is the younger sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and the daughter of the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, the former chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh.

Following the YSRTP’s merger with Congress, she might be assigned a national position in Congress.

To put an end to the BRS, led by K Chandrasekhar Rao, and their allegedly corrupt and anti-people policies, Sharmila had declared her support for the Congress during the most recent Telangana assembly elections.
