Andhra Man Hits Father, Drags Mother By Hair Over Property Dispute

A man has been arrested in the Annamayya district of Andhra Pradesh for physically abusing his elderly parents over a long-running family property transfer dispute.

The accused man has been identified as Srinivasulu Reddy his parents are Venkata Ramana Reddy and Lakshmamma. The crime happened at Madanapalli.

Reddy attacked his parents violently on Sunday as hostilities between him and his parents grew more intense.

The event is seen on camera, with the man grabbed his mother’s hair while she is sitting on the ground and slapped her on the back. Then he gives her a really harsh smack, which causes her to fall, and Reddy kicks her multiple times.

He then goes ahead and slaps his father, who is visible nearby sitting on a bed. Reddy’s mother appeals him to stop abusing them verbally as well. The police have filed a formal complaint against Reddy in response to a distress call.

When the old couple in the hospital was visited by the Circle Inspector in Madanapalli, Yuvaraju, he promised them that their violent son would face harsh consequences.

“We have registered a case under sections 324 and 506, with the FIR filed against Srinivasulu Reddy. He has been detained, and further investigations are ongoing,” Yuvaraju said.
