The Centre has called an all-party meeting on Sunday to ensure a smooth Budget Session of Parliament, which commences on Monday, July 22, and concludes on August 12. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union budget on July 23, marking the first budget of the Modi government’s third term.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju will meet with floor leaders of political parties from both Houses of Parliament at 11 a.m. in the Main Committee Room, Parliament House Annexe.

The government seeks cooperation from all political parties to ensure the smooth functioning of both Houses during the session. Five bills are line up for introduction, including the Bharatiya Vayuyan Vidheyak, 2024, aimed at replacing the British-era Aircraft Act of 1934 to facilitate ease of doing business in India’s civil aviation sector.
Other bills include the Disaster Management (Amendment) Law Bill, the Boilers Bill, the Coffee (Promotion and Development) Bill, and the Rubber (Promotion and Development) Bill. The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir’s budget will present during the session.
The all-party meeting aims to foster cooperation and dialogue among political parties to ensure a productive Budget Session.
