Delhi Chief Minister Atishi further encouraged Haryana voters to engage in the democratic process. She shared on X, “Today is the great festival of democracy in Haryana. I appeal to all voters—this time please vote for 24×7 electricity, world-class government schools, quality healthcare, and a better Haryana.”
Sushil Gupta, the AAP state president, joined the call, urging citizens to participate in this democratic festival by casting their valuable votes. He emphasized that each vote could bring about significant change and development in Haryana.
Over two crore voters in Haryana will determine the state’s future for the next five years in today’s Assembly elections, which hold added significance due to the influence of recent farmer and wrestler protests on the political landscape.
Polling commenced at 7 A.M. and will continue until 6 P.M. Among the early voters were former minister and Badshahpur seat candidate Rao Narbir Singh and his family, who cast their votes at a government school in Fazilpur Jharsa village. They urged fellow voters to exercise their franchise.
