Actress Yami Gautam is embarking on a new chapter in her life as she embraces motherhood alongside her husband, filmmaker Aditya Dhar. The couple, amidst much anticipation, officially confirmed Yami’s pregnancy, revealing that she is five-and-a-half months along, during the trailer launch event of her upcoming film, Article 370.
Addressing the joyful news, Aditya Dhar expressed, “This film truly embodies a sense of family. With my brother, my wife, and now a baby on the way, it’s an incredibly special time for us. The journey of this film and the revelation of our impending parenthood have been truly magical.”
Yami Gautam shared insights into her experience of pregnancy while filming, acknowledging the mental and physical challenges it brought. “The journey has been emotionally taxing. The uncertainty and plethora of questions were overwhelming. I owe a lot to Aditya and everyone involved for their unwavering support,” she reflected.

“The rigorous demands of filming required caution and careful consideration, especially as my pregnancy progressed. I am grateful to the medical team who discreetly supervised my well-being. Though we primarily focused on scenes with dialogue later in the production, it was surreal to have the baby be a part of it all. I drew inspiration from witnessing my own mother’s resilience in balancing work and family.”
Yami and Aditya tied the knot in June 2021, following a courtship of over two years that began on the set of the acclaimed film Uri: The Surgical Strike, where Yami starred under Aditya’s direction.
Set against the backdrop of Article 370, the film is directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and features Yami Gautam and Priyamani in leading roles. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar, the project promises to be a compelling narrative on a significant socio-political issue.
