In its first week of release, Shah Rukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani’s “Dunki” is doing well at the box office. The movie is currently aiming for Rs 250 crore after surpassing Rs 200 crore globally. The movie made double digits on Monday, December 25, and took in about Rs 22 crore in India. All eyes will be on “Dunki” to perform well in the second week, as it is expected to close out the first one strongly.
After “Pathaan” and “Jawan,” Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki” is his third release of the year. In theaters, the movie debuted alongside Prabhas’ “Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire.”
‘Dunki’ is going good in theatres since its December 21 release, according to reports. The movie’s estimated net income in India as of Monday, December 25, is around Rs 22.50 crore.
In India, the five-day total collection currently stands at Rs 128.13 crore. ‘Dunki’ reported a 29.53 percent occupancy rate across the nation on December 25. If things continue this way, the second week of the Rajkumar Hirani film is expected to bring in over Rs 250 crore globally.
The ensemble cast of “Dunki” includes Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Grover, and Vikram Kochhar, all of whom play compelling characters.
