The makers of Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming movie Animal have already disclosed that it has an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and the movie is scheduled for release in theaters on December 1. Among the significant alterations made to the movie before its certification, at the CBFC’s recommendation, was the removal of an “intimate scene” involving two characters. A few words in the movie have been changed, according to a copy of the certificate that Hindustan Times has. “Costume” and “Black” are two of these. The costume was changed to “Vastra,” but the certificate does not clarify what the new meaning of the word “black” is. “Kabhi nahi” and “Kya bol rahe ho aap” have also been changed in a few dialogues. The subtitles have also undergone all of the changes. “You change pads four times a month” is now the subtitle, and the word “Natak” has been muted. The certificate makes no mention of the original.
Intimate sequences featuring close-ups of Vijay and Zoya have been removed. The identities of these characters in the movie are still a mystery. The film’s final cut runs for slightly longer than 203 minutes, or three hours and 21 minutes.
