Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma
The combination of Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma has its own set of fandoms. Sunil is famous for his iconic characters like Guthi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati on Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. However, the collaboration of both the famous comedians Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover came to an end in 2017 due to an infamous fallout onboard a flight.
Sunil Grover launched his own comedy show, for which he also collaborated with Krushna Abhishek. However, it failed miserably. The popularity of the show was not as high as that of the Kapil Sharma show (TKSS). In fact, later on, Krushna collabed with Kapil and joined his popular show TKSS.
In 2020, when the news of Sunil Grover undergoing heart surgery came out, at that time Mr. Sharma talked to Mr. Grover and wished him a speedy recovery. The two had then maintained and said that they might work together in the near future if something exciting comes up.
In a new interview, Sunil was asked if he is open to working with Kapil Sharma again. He was reminded that Kapil, in interviews over the years, shared that Sunil is welcomed on his show. On this Mr. Grover reacts and said,”Abhi toh aisa kuch nahi hai.. ya to pujhwalo fir aap (there is nothing like that, or ask him then)”.

Mr. Grover is currently busy promoting his new comedy series ‘United Kachhe’ and also the upcoming film Jawan, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Sunil also stated that” I am also busy right now and enjoying what I am doing. I am also doing good work. I have already enjoyed my phase of non-fiction and I am currently liking the fiction setup, gaining new experiences as a performer. I am having fun. There are no such plans right now”.
Although Sunil never returned to The Kapil Sharma Show, he was seen making a comeback as Dr. Mashoor Gulati in India’s Laughter Champion. “I wanted to do it for myself. I enjoyed dressing up as Doctor Mashoor Gulati after a long time. It was only for one episode. That’s all, and I love it, “he shared during an interview.
