Billie Eilish Shatters 87-Year-Old Record, Becomes Youngest Ever to Win Two Oscars

Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell made waves at the Oscars, clinching their second Best Original Song win with “What Was I Made For?” from Greta Gerwig’s film “Barbie.” Their victory marks a historic moment as the youngest-ever two-time winners in this category. The duo previously won in 2021 for their work on “No Time to Die” in the James Bond franchise, solidifying their status as musical powerhouses in the industry.

Accepting the award, Billie expressed profound gratitude and humility, acknowledging the impact of the film and its music on audiences. At just 22 years old, Billie breaks an 87-year-old record, surpassing Luise Rainer to become the youngest two-time Oscar winner. Nominated alongside their winning track was “I’m Just Ken,” a touching tribute to Ryan Gosling penned by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, known for their work on “A Star Is Born.”
