
Stock market closed: The market started with strength amid mixed global signals. However, it lost all the gains in a short time. Today Nifty closed up 0.25 points at 18,118, Sensex up 37 points at 60,979 and Nifty Bank closed down 88 points at 42,733. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 29 closed in the red and 21 closed in the green. 9 out of 12 shares of Nifty Bank closed in the red mark and 3 in the green mark. Selling was seen in banking, pharma, realty, and metal stocks. The pressure was seen in midcap, a small-cap stock. There was buying in IT and auto stocks. Purchasing was observed in 15 Sensex stocks and selling in 15.
