Samsung’s semiconductor arm allegedly denied a tipper’s assertion on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the business intended to rename its Exynos processors.
The South Korean technological behemoth has further stated that any rumors regarding a rebranding are untrue and that the business has no plans to rename the processors that are utilized in several of its smartphone models.
Exynos mobile processors from Samsung compete with Snapdragon chips from MediaTek and Qualcomm, which power some of Samsung’s smartphones.
Samsung was rumored to be rebranding its Exynos mobile CPUs as “Dream Chip” or “Dream,” according to a tip from tipster @oreXda on X on Tuesday.
In a statement provided to Android Authority, the corporation, however, denied the assertion. “The rebranding rumor is untrue. As per the publication, Samsung informed them that the brand name “Dream – ed” is merely an internal project name.
In answer to another question posed by the website, the business also stated that all rumors regarding the company’s intentions to rebrand the Exynos family of mobile processors “are not true.”

For more than a decade, Samsung has employed Exynos chips in its smartphones, and it doesn’t seem probable that the brand name of its mobile CPUs will be altered anytime soon.
