Planning Expose Billionaire George Soros-Backed Group Targets Indian Firms, Says Report

The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) being a global network of investigative journalists is said to be an anti-India agency. Founded in 2006, organisation has its staff on six continents.

With specialization in organized corruption and crime the OCCRP seems to walk on the foot-prints of the US short seller which publishd a damning report on the Adani group, shook markets some months ago.

This is among those organisations which are funded by likes of George Soros and Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Now this is not the grapevine but a report, saying the OCCRP is said to be planning an ‘expose’. And this is again going to be Indian corporate houses.

Said to have been formed by 24 nonprofit investigative centres, the OCCRP feels pride calling itself “an investigative reporting platform”. Spread across Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America, the organisation may publish a a series of articles or report on it.

After the news entered in open public domain, an email was sent to the OCCRP expecting comments but in vain. It took no note of the mail.

The OCCRP website identifies its connectivity to the Open Society Foundations of George Soros. As one of the institutional donors, Soros is a welknown financier with a penchant for funding global radical causes. Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Ford Foundation, and Oak Foundation as well .

In accordance with the sources, this ‘expose’ might also involve overseas funds investing in the stocks of the corporate house or houses. So far the identity of the corporate house hasn’t been revealed but agencies are  keeping a vigil over the capital market.
