JSW Steel reported a 12 percent increase in consolidated crude steel production in October to 23.12 Lakh Tonnes (LT) on Thursday.
According to a statement, its consolidated crude steel production was 20.64 LT in the same month previous year.
In October, the company produced 22.36 LT of steel from its India operation, up 9 percent from 20.49 LT the previous year.
The crude steel output of JSW Ispat Special Products Ltd (JISPL) and its subsidiary Mivaan Steels Ltd is included in the India operations.
In October, India’s capacity utilization rate stood at 95 percent.
JSW Steel USA – Ohio produced 0.76 LT steel in October 2023, compared to 0.15 L in October 2022.
