On Tuesday, benchmark equity indices continued to rise for the third day in a row, aided by strong global market trends.
The 30-share BSE Sensex rallied 411.27 points to 74,059.89 in early trade. The NSE Nifty moved up 111.15 points to 22,447.55.
DLF, Bajaj Holdings, Bharti Airtel, Jio Financial Serv., Adani Green Energy, Tata Motors-DVR, Adani Energy Solut., and LIC were the top gainers.
Among the laggards were ABB India, Zomato, Tata Consumer, Zydus, United Spirits, TVS Motor Company, and Interglobe Aviation.
In Asian markets, Tokyo, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Hong Kong were trading higher, while South Korea and Shanghai were trading lower.
US markets closed in positive territory on Monday.
Brent crude gained 0.38 percent to USD 87.33 per barrel.
According to the exchange data, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold securities worth Rs 2,915.23 crore on Monday.
On Monday, the Sensex soared 560.29 points or 0.77 percent to 73,648.62, while the Nifty advanced 189.40 points or 0.86 percent to 22,336.40.
