According to the latest Foundit Insights Tracker (fit) report, technological advancements, rising demand for medical services, and a shift toward patient-centric care are reshaping the industry.

V Suresh, CEO of foundit, noted that India’s healthcare industry is entering a new era powered by technology and skilled talent.
“Our latest data highlights a sharp rise in demand for roles across AI, digital health, and informatics, reflecting a sector-wide pivot toward innovation and patient-centric care,” he said.
Building on this trend, the growing integration of AI and digital tools in healthcare services is fueling the surge in recruitment.
From telemedicine to predictive analytics, these advancements are transforming care delivery, making it faster, more accurate, and more accessible.
Moreover, remote diagnostics and digital health platforms are helping bridge the urban-rural healthcare divide, further expanding the sector’s reach and impact.
As the industry continues to evolve, the need for specialized talent in data science, informatics, and emerging technologies is only expected to grow, making healthcare one of the most dynamic and future-ready sectors in India.
Inclusive Hiring Gains Momentum
In parallel with rising demand, the sector is also making strides in promoting gender diversity and inclusion.
The report reveals that women make up 38% of the total workforce in healthcare — one of the highest among major industries in India.
However, despite this promising representation, men continue to dominate leadership roles in the healthcare sector.
Women currently occupy only 4% of executive positions, highlighting the need for stronger efforts toward equity in senior roles.
