
Australian design platform Canva launched Visual Suite 2.0 at its Canva Create event in Los Angeles on April 10, integrating powerful AI and data tools into its core offerings.
The suite includes Canva Sheets, Magic Charts, Canva AI, and Canva Code, enabling users to create interactive and data-rich designs with ease.
The rollout marks a turning point for Canva’s enterprise strategy, launched less than a year ago.
Global Head of Product Robert Kawalsky highlighted the growing demand among Fortune 500 companies and praised Canva’s impact, citing FedEx as an example, which now creates designs 77% faster using Canva’s tools like Magic Translator.
India Emerges As Canva’s Fastest Growing Market
India has quickly become one of Canva’s largest and fastest-growing markets.
In 2024, users in India created over 666 million designs, including nearly 2 million in a single day.
Over 139 million presentations and 17 million whiteboards were also built in the country.
Canva now supports over 2.4 lakh freelancers and 11,000 teachers in India.
A Hindi-language platform has recently gone live, featuring culturally relevant UI and localized content.
Kawalsky said localization is key to Canva’s growth strategy, especially in competitive markets shaped by rapid AI advancements.
Canva’s AI strategy includes in-house tools, third-party models, and AI-first apps.
The company aims to simplify the creative process while allowing users full control over AI-generated content.
On concerns around AI and originality, Canva has implemented the ‘Canva Shield’ framework to ensure the ethical use of data and fair treatment of creators.
Over 99% of Canva’s global creator community has opted in to train its AI models — and are compensated for it.
Kawalsky emphasized that AI is a creative partner, not a replacement, aligning with Canva’s mission to democratize design.
