Adani University welcomed its newest batch of students this week through its academic induction event, ‘Navdiksha 2025’, introducing them to the university’s flagship integrated B Tech+MBA and B Tech+M Tech programmes.
The programme showcased the university’s strategic vision to equip young minds for a transforming industrial landscape shaped by Artificial Intelligence (AI), sustainability, and nation-building goals.
Kicking off the ceremony, Professor Sunil Jha, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, stressed the evolving relevance of core scientific disciplines, physics, chemistry, and mathematics, in the age of what he called ‘physical AI’.
“As AI integrates with robotics and automation, grasping physical laws will define success,” said Professor Jha, encouraging students to look beyond programming and explore the physical principles that power intelligent systems.
Esteemed global business advisor and Harvard alumnus Dr Ram Charan brought a personal touch to the event, drawing on over sixty years of global experience.
“Find your God-given talent, follow it with commitment, and never stop learning,” he advised.
Additionally, he urged students to treat their university journey as a period of self-discovery and lifelong purpose.
Adani University’s Integrated Degrees Aligned with NEP 2020
The integrated degree programmes, structured in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, reflect the university’s broader aim to promote interdisciplinary learning, scientific depth, and leadership in sectors like energy, infrastructure, and digital technologies.
Provost Dr Ravi P Singh welcomed students from across India, highlighting how the curriculum, from AI to energy engineering, prepares graduates for real-world change.
“Whether your focus is AI, sustainability, or infrastructure, you are at the right place, at the right time,” he further stated.
He also encouraged students to shape their own journeys and view education as a tool for national transformation.
Rounding off the event, Adani Group’s Chief Transformation Officer, Sudipta Bhattacharya, offered an insightful outlook on the AI revolution. He positioned it as a historical shift that, for the first time, challenges human cognition itself.
“Machines can now think. But only humans can believe, collaborate, and create with purpose,” he said.
Bhattacharya also noted the Adani Group’s $90 billion investment trajectory as a vast opportunity for aspiring engineers and leaders in the fields of technology and infrastructure.
