Shraddha Kapoor To Star In Kalpana Chawla’s Biopic, Leaked Poster Gets Viral

Actress Shraddha Kapoor who was recently seen with co-actor Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Tu Jhooti Mai Makkaar’, is reportedly shooting for her upcoming film Stree 2. Recently the Aashiqui 2 fame was spotted in her neatly trimmed hair and her new appearance sparked questions about her upcoming project. 

According to a leaked announcement poster that went viral online, it looks like the B-town Actress is all set to play the role of the late Astronaut Kalpana Chawla in her biopic.

Shraddha as Kalpana

Shraddha will play the lead role of Kalpana Chawla in the biopic, and Aanand L. Rai will be directing the picture. The film will be composed by AR Rahman and Vikram Montrose. The movie is titled The Untold Story of Kalpana Chawla. The biopic is expected to release on December 29, 2023.

Abhishek Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and Fahim Khan will be seen making a special appearance in the film.

The poster quickly gained popularity after being uploaded by a user on Reddit. However, the actors’ creators have not yet provided a confirmation.

After the leaked poster, people shared their views on Shraddha’s look and raised the question “Is that why she cut her hair?”

One user commented, personally doesn’t think she will be able to do it justice, we’ll see.

Another user remarked, “Radhika Apte would have killed in this role.”

Other people also made fun of the actress. “I never thought she was a talented actress. In her films, she overacted. I was watching Aashiqui 2 after seeing her cheesy performance in TJMM. She is the only one in the movie who overacts.

Someone else commented, “UGH why! She does not resemble Kalpana Chawla in appearance or acting skills. PC should have been chosen for this role.

Shraddha’s Upcoming Projects

The diva will be seen in Stree 2 opposite Raj Kumar Rao, Aparshit Khurrana, Abhishek Banerjee, and others. The shooting of the film began in March 2023. The sequel of the film Stree 2 will be directed by Amar Kaushik. Soon the trailer will be released on the internet.
