The Branch of English, Illustrious Worldwide College (RGU), coordinated a manor drive and nature stroll in relationship with Assam (Bhoreilli) Calculating and Preservation Affiliation yesterday at Garbhanga Save Woods here.
The purpose of the event was to both extend Earth Day 2023 celebrations and commemorate the spirit and theme of India’s G20 presidency—”Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” or “One Earth, One Family, One Future.” People have been inspired to make every day Earth Day by Earth Day Network India.
Dipanjol Deka, Secretary of the Tea Association of India and a Life Member of the Assam (Bhoreilli) Angling & Conservation Association, was one of the resource persons who attended the event along with Naushad Hussain from the same organization. Together, they helped attendees realize and comprehend the significance of the Garbhanga ecosystem.
The drive was met by Dr Pronami Bhattacharyya, Right hand Teacher, Division of English in RGU and Leader Council individual from Assam (Bhoreilli) Calculating and Protection Affiliation.
Twenty-six members of the English department offered their participation in this activity. Pronami Bhattacharyya and Assistant Professor Sania Wahid from the Department of English accompanied them. The event was marked by the following activities: Conveying identifications (planned by understudy Deepak Chhetri) among RGU understudies and asset people, basic talk on Anthropocene by Dr Pronami Bhattacharyya, journeying (6.7 Kms) and prologue to accessible bird and greenery species in the Save Backwoods by Dipanjol Deka.
The journeying finished at the objective Parijat Foundation (Garbhanga), a non-benefit school laid out in 2003 with only four kids in a little room with a couple of work areas and seats. The school has grown to over 500 students from its modest beginnings. The Parijat flower is the inspiration for the school’s name.
The school’s Garbhanga branch has a small bamboo room that is further divided into three rooms by half-bamboo walls. 35 first- and second-grade students from nearby Karbi villages have walked 10 to 15 kilometers to come here to study and stay in two tiny bamboo rooms—one for boys and one for girls. With no power, post dusk study is exceptionally difficult, making them answer upon a couple of sun based table lights gave by well-wishers.

RGU students instruct and interact with Parijat Academy students on their regular curriculum, such as music, nature, and the environment.
In addition, the event attendees participated in a nearby plantation drive. They included Parijat children to name the saplings to assist them with fostering a bond. They vowed to take care of the saplings until they become hearty enough to make due all alone while RGU understudies vowed to visit now and again also.
