Indian Citizen From Pakistan Held For Spying In Gujarat

A man, named Labhshankar Duryodhan Maheshwari, who was a Pakistan citizen and obtained Indian citizenship in 2006 was nabbed by Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) for sharing sentitive info about the Indian Army to the Pakistan agents. Maheshwari arrived in Tarapur town, Gujarat, in 1999 with an excuse that his wife seeking fertility treatment stayed on in India set up his own business and got Indian citizenship in 2006.

Lately he was found to be helping the Pakistan agents with the sensitive information of Indian defence personnel.  According to the ATS sources, he was helping Pakistan agents of obtaining Indian SIM cards. With the SIM cards those agents used to call the children of the Indian Army, who used to study in different Army schools, and obtained information about their parents. Maheshwari used to carry out this exercise in order to get the Pakistan VISA, by the help of those agents, to visit his relatives who are residing in the neighbouring country.
