Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh BJP’s state executive committee meeting in Lucknow to review organisational activities and prepare for the 2027 Assembly elections.
The meeting at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University brought together Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, state president Pankaj Chaudhary, state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh, state in-charge Vinod Tawde and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak.
Party leaders expect Shah to outline organisational priorities and provide guidance on the BJP’s electoral strategy. Chaudhary said his guidance would energise workers and help the party achieve its 2027 goals.
Maurya described the gathering as the first state executive committee meeting under Chaudhary’s leadership following the formation of the new organisational structure.
Pathak said Shah’s address would strengthen the party organisation. He also criticised Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, claiming that voters supported the BJP and predicting its victory in the 2027 elections.
The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening the grassroots network, expanding public outreach and framing the party’s campaign strategy against the Samajwadi Party and other Opposition groups.
Yogi Adityanath will address the concluding session.
Earlier, Adityanath, Chaudhary, Maurya and Pathak welcomed Shah at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow.
