Indo-China: Chinese announcement is significant now after their withdrawal from Galwan since it was initiated by China itself. If things are exactly as seen, a mutual concern regarding border dispute is finally over.

India responded to theChinese statement responsibly. Indian External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar said,  ‘‘We continue to strive for a relationship with China, but one that is built on mutual sensitivity, mutual respect and mutual interest.’’

Encountering a question on the consistent comments from Beijing, Jaishankar opined  about how things are “okay” between the two countries.

Jaishankar made it clear that Indo-China relationship will always be based upon “mutual” sensitivity, respect and interest.

India also conveyed its message to China that it will continue to strive for a relationship with China provided the response also is is built on mutual sensitivity, respect and interest.

Wrapping up his four-day official trip to America, in Washington during a press briefing, the Indian External Affairs Minister  also responded to the statement by Chinese ambassador to India.

Lately Sun Weidong, Chinese ambassador to India, said that the situation on the India-China border is “overall stable” and Indian along with China have moved from the “emergency response” which followed the  Galwan Valley clash in June 2020 towards a  “normalised management and control” situation
