JP Nadda Counters Congress
The special session called by the Modi government in the new Parliament building has concluded. During the session, the Women’s Reservation Bill was passed in both houses. However, BJP’s National President, JP Nadda, has criticized Congress leader and former Union Minister Jairam Ramesh’s statement.
JP Nadda’s Rebuttal
JP Nadda posted on social media platform X, stating that this reflects the Congress’s low mentality. He added that this bill is not just about the aspirations of 140 crore Indians. It’s not the first time Congress has opposed Parliament. They attempted it in 1975, but were entirely unsuccessful.
Even by the lowest standards of the Congress Party, this is a pathetic mindset. This is nothing but an insult to the aspirations of 140 crore Indians.

“Modi Multiplex or Modi Marriott?”
In fact, senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Jairam Ramesh had posted on the social media platform X, mentioning that the new Parliament has various shortcomings compared to the old one. However, the way the inauguration of the Parliament was conducted aligns with the Prime Minister’s objectives. Jairam Ramesh further wrote that the new Parliament building should actually be called “Modi Multiplex” or “Modi Marriott.”
“Not a Place for Dialogue” – Jairam Ramesh
Jairam Ramesh has further written that the special session in the new Parliament building has concluded, but it was observed afterward that there is no space left for dialogue in Parliament, both in the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha.
A Binocular is Needed to See Each Other
He stated that if the architecture of the Parliament building can harm democracy, then the Prime Minister has successfully eliminated the Constitution without writing it. He mentioned that in the chambers, Members of Parliament need binoculars to see each other because the chambers are far from comfortable.
