Speaking in different Tulsi Jayanti programs of Tulsi Jayanti and Awadhi Day at Shri Ramlila Samiti Aishbagh and Sant Gadge Auditorium, former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Dr. Dinesh Sharma said that today is the most important day because Tulsi Das wrote a couplet on the distance of the Sun from the Earth, in which the mentioned distance has also been told by NASA of America as correct and Chandrayaan-3 has successfully landed on the moon. Congratulations to all the scientists and officers related to ISRO, the Prime Minister of the country Modi ji also deserves special congratulations and gratitude, with whose inspiration India is constantly touching new heights. He said that the science of space and astronomy has been written very beautifully and are among the important religious texts of the country. He said that Tulsi is remembered on Tulsi Jayanti. There are different opinions about the birth of Tulsi, so it is not appropriate to mention them here. When Tulsidas was born, the Nakshatra was not correct and it is said that he was born after 12 months of pregnancy. When he was born, he had all 32 teeth in his mouth and the word Ram came out of his mouth. Since his father Atmaram himself was an astrologer, he gave the child born in a bad Muhurta to the housemaid instead of keeping him in the house. Here Sevika took him there and his mother Hulsi passed away. He said that after some time the maidservant also died due to inauspicious timinngs. It is said that the order of Lord Shankar and Mother Parvati had come to raise Tulsi.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that Saint Narharidas nurtured Tulsi after this. He told that his wife did the work of changing Tulsi’s life. After marriage, when Tulsi once reached his wife when she was at her maternal home, his wife told him that if he had done as much affection for Lord Shriram as he did for her, then he would have attained salvation and his life would be blessed. This sentence of wife became the reason for changing the direction of Tulsi’s life.
Continuing his statement at the Awadhi Kavi Sammelan and Samman Samaroh organized by Awadhi Vikas Sansthan on the occasion of Tulsi Jayanti program in the auditorium of Tulsi Shodh Sansthan Aishbagh and Buddhist Research Institute, Dr. Sharma said that instead of going to the relevance of a context, he heard like telling him here. He said that it is said that it is also discussed that Hanuman ji had written the life story of Shri Ram for the first time and he had taken it to Maharishi Valmiki. He had requested Maharishi Valmiki to correct any mistake in it. It is said that Maharishi Valmiki had read that book while boating in the light of the moon and while reading it he became so emotional that the book had fallen into the water from his hand and was destroyed. This made Bajrangbali very sad and he told Valmiki that now he must have memorized it, so he should write it down, but before writing it down, Valmiki’s body died.
Continuing the above episode, Dr. Sharma said that it is mentioned at some places that when Acharya Tulsi Das ji was 77 years old, once he was wandering in Chitrakoot. He had a pot of water in his hand. When he poured it into a dry tree, the tree turned green and a Yaksha appeared in it, who asked him to ask for a boon. Tulsi told him that he wanted to write a character description of Ram’s life, where would he get help in this. Only Hanuman ji can be the one who help him in this. We do not discuss the veracity of the description of this story, but some people mention it. After this, in the story of Tulsi, a person dressed as a Brahmin came first in the story and when he sat till the end, Tulsi held his feet and understood that heis Shri Hanuman and requested him to tell Ramkatha.
The former Deputy Chief Minister further said that Hanuman ji asked Tulsi to remember Shri Ram from his heart, but despite Ram coming twice, he could not recognize him. After this he told in the form of a parrot. At the time when the parrot told them, Tulsi was grinding sandalwood and that is why it is said that “there was a lot of children on the Ghat of Chitrakoot”. Tulsidas Chandan Dhise Tilak Det Raghubir. “After this he falls at the feet of Shri Ram and Ram blesses him and goes into meditation.” It is prevalent in different ways.
Dr. Sharma told that Tulsi composed Ramcharit Manas in two years, 7 months and 26 days. When they completed it, they brought it to Baba Vishwanath’s Dham at night. It is said that when they came to pick it up in the morning, it had written “Satyam Shivam Sundaram”. First Ramlila was staged. Tulsi Jayanti cannot be celebrated more than this.
Today, Dr. Sharma participated as the chief guest in the Tulsi Jayanti celebrations organized by Awadhi Vikas Sansthan in collaboration with Ayodhya Research Institute and Culture Department, Uttar Pradesh Government.
