Bhopal: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah inaugurated the “Garib Kalyan Maha Abhiyan” in Bhopal on Sunday and presented the report card of the Bharatiya Janata Party government from 2003 to 2023. Appreciating the development work done by the Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he said that the BJP government of Madhya Pradesh has fulfilled the dream and resolution of changing the lives of the people.
He said that before 2003, there was a Congress government in Madhya Pradesh, the state was counted among the sick states. With a holistic approach, the BJP government has tried to make a sick state one of the most developed states in the country in 20 years. Today, Madhya Pradesh is standing in the forefront of developed states. Prime Minister Shri Modi has done rapid development works in the central part, northern end and eastern end of the country. Challenging the Congress leaders, Shri Amit Shah said that if the Congress has guts, then bring the report card of its 50 years.
There was misrule of Congress in the state for 53 years, got the title of Bimaru state in the Congress government
Shri Amit Shah said that the state of Madhya Pradesh was formed in 1956. The state was again formed in Vindhya Pradesh, Bhopal State and Madhya Bharat. Congress ruled for 53 years. Those who are claiming today should first keep the report of 53 years of development work. In the 1980s, Ashish Bose presented a paper to Rajiv Gandhi, in which the word Bimaru was mentioned. The term Bimaru State was derived from the first letters of the four states. Which was taken from Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. All the surveys have also described these states as a hindrance to India’s growth.Shri Amit Shah said that those who today question the development done by the BJP government should also give an account of their 53 years.
In the Congress government, Madhya Pradesh got the title of Bimaru state. During the rule of 53 years, the Congress left no stone unturned to make Madhya Pradesh a sick state. In 2003, the people of Madhya Pradesh gave a historic decision by removing the government of Mr. Bantadhar. After that, the BJP worked to free Madhya Pradesh from this term Bimaru.
BJP laid the foundation of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh
Shri Amit Shah said that Madhya Pradesh is writing a new saga of development under the Bharatiya Janata Party government. He said that Madhya Pradesh has become “Developed Madhya Pradesh” in 20 years. The work of laying the foundation of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh has been done in 20 years. And the work has been done in the past 20 years whether it is in the field of health, industrial development, agricultural development, education for the youth. The work of providing all aspects of education for youth should be done only in Madhya Pradesh, in this way Madhya Pradesh will be made self-sufficient in this 20 years. I have come to assure the 9 crore people of Madhya Pradesh that in the coming Amrit Kaal, we will work to keep Madhya Pradesh in the category of most developed states of the country and to make it completely self-reliant.
Prosperity from Bhopal to Chaupal in BJP rule
Taking the Digvijay era of the Congress rule in the dock, he said that Madhya Pradesh, which was once considered to be divided, is today touching the heights of development. In 20 years, by strengthening the basic systems like electricity, water, roads and education, the BJP government has established new dimensions of development in Madhya Pradesh. Whether it is Bundelkhand, Baghelkhand, Nimar, Malwa, Gwalior, Chambal, Mahakaushal… from Bhopal to every chaupal of the state, the BJP government has done the work of bringing prosperity and development.
Modi ji has given generously to Madhya Pradesh
Shri Amit Shah said that when the Modi government was formed at the Center in 2014, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given Madhya Pradesh generously and the people of Madhya Pradesh have also responded to every initiative of Modi ji by filling their bags and voting. In 10 years from 2004 to 2014, Congress gave only Rs 1 lakh 98 thousand crore to Madhya Pradesh. Modi government did the work of giving 8 lakh 33 thousand crore rupees to Madhya Pradesh in just 9 years. In 2014, 27 out of 29 Lok Sabha seats, in 2019 BJP got 28 out of 29 seats. Now I am saying with confidence that there is a shortage of one seat, in 2024 the people of Madhya Pradesh will fulfill this shortage, I have full faith.
13 crore people in the country and 1 crore 36 lakh people came above the poverty line in the state
Shri Amit Shah said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi 10 crore people have come above the poverty line and under the leadership of Modi ji 1 crore 36 lakh people have come above the poverty line. After independence, there has never been such a time that in a span of ten years, 10% of the population has come above the poverty line and that is why Modi ji is considered as the champion of poor welfare. He said that I express my gratitude to the 9.5 crore people of Madhya Pradesh for blessing the BJP.
Reply Mr.Bantadhar and Kamal Nath
He said that the Madhya Pradesh government has made many changes under the leadership of Shivraj ji. He said Mr. Bantadhar and Kamal Nath ji should give specific answers to these things that in 2002 you had left the total size of the budget at 23 thousand 100 crores, we have brought it to 3 lakh 14 thousand crores. An answer should be given to this. The education budget of the state has been increased from 2456 crores to 38 thousand crores. BJP governments recognized this. The health budget was 580 crores, today it is 16 thousand crores.
The budget of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan crossed 7 thousand crores from 844 crores. When the budget allocation of SC, ST and OBC was left out, then 1 thousand 56 crores were spent. It has been taken up to 64 thousand 390 crores. Bringing per capita income from 11,700 to 1 lakh 40 thousand here, this is a record breaking development on all scales. In MSME, which is important from the point of view of employment, the registration used to be 4 thousand 297 annually in industries at that time, today 3 lakh 61 thousand 545 people are registered annually.
The road that was there earlier, was a road in potholes, or that the road was in potholes. Instead of this, now five lakh 10 thousand km of roads have been built here. If Congress has the courage, bring your report card of 50 years.\
We have established a tradition of accountability
He said that we have created a tradition of accountability in politics. Wherever our government is, we take accounts there. 25 thousand crore rupees have been benefited in crop insurance, Jal Jeevan Mission, 8.2 crore houses and 60 lakh tap connections have been given. There are 3.6 crore beneficiaries in the Ayushman Bharat scheme, out of which 30 lakh beneficiaries have got their operation done. Construction of 80 lakh toilets has been completed. About 44 lakh poor families got pucca houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 5.30 crore people of the state are getting free food grains regularly.
What did Congress do in 15 months of government?
Shri Amit Shah said that looking at the achievements of Madhya Pradesh, per capita income has increased. Roads have been built. Irrigation potential is a benefit for crores of poor farmers. 46 lakh women have got the benefit of Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Mahakal Mahalok has been made in Ujjain. Metro Rail is starting in Bhopal Indore, started medical engineering course in Hindi. PESA has been enacted. We have built memorials of freedom fighters. Amrit Sarovar has been constructed. What did Congress do in 15 months of government? It should be divided and Kamal Nath should answer.
Every time Congress got the rule, it did nothing but scam.
Mr. Amit Shah said, Kamal Nath ji and Mr. Bantadhar ji, answer, whenever you got the government, you did nothing but scam. He said Bofors scam, 2G spectrum scam, Satyam scam, Commonwealth Games scam, Coal scam, Chopper scam, Tetra truck scam, Note scam for votes, Adarsh housing scam, National Herald scam, DLF scam, Food security bill scam, Ghaziabad Provident Fund Scam, Harshad Mehta’s Stock Market Scam, IPL Scam, LIC Housing Scam, Power Plant Submarine Scam, and Box Vision Equity Scam. He said that you should answer about these scams to the people of Madhya Pradesh and the country.
The government of Kamal Nath had become the government of Corruptionnath.
Shri Shah said that the people of social media started calling Kamal Nath’s government as the government of corruption. Nath had done such a thing. Moser Baer scam of 350 crores, and AgustaWestland of 24 crores are connected with the scam. 600 crores associated with the IFFCO scam. There have been scams even in the loan waiver of 25 thousand crores. The promise of 1178 kg bonus was also not fulfilled. Diet grant scheme to the women of Baiga, Bharia and Saharia community which was started. He closed that too and by transferring more than 800 officers, the Kamal Nath government had done the work of re-establishing the transfer industry on a large scale in Madhya Pradesh. He said that the Congress will definitely have to answer to the people of Madhya Pradesh for its tenure of one and a half years.
Congress crippled the poor welfare movement
Shri Amit Shah said that the Congress paralyzed and crippled the entire movement for the welfare of the poor. He is involved in the Rs 600 crore IFFCO scam. Congress and Kamal Nath worked to set up transfer industry by doing more than 800 transfers. 24 scams took place during Congress government, Kamal Nath must answer for 15 months of government? He said that today 14 countries have not only honored Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, but have honored our development story. Narendra Modi has taken up the task of making a developed state.
