This is not the first time a cat has been ‘hired’ at a train station. In 2021, a lovely moggy cat won a position as the official chief mouse catcher at a train station. According to Metro, the six-year-old cat has been named chief mouse catcher at Stourbridge Junction Station in the West Midlands.
At Kishi Station on the Kishigawa Line in Kinokawa, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, a female calico cat previously rose to popularity for holding the positions of the station master and operating officer.
