Neelkanth Mishra
Neelkanth Mishra, the co-head of Asia Pacific Strategy at Credit Suisse Group, has left the organization and will soon start working for the Mumbai-based Axis Bank. Mishra will oversee the research department at Axis Bank.
According to data on the Credit Suisse website, Neelkanth Mishra has been named one of India’s best analysts by Institutional Investor and Asiamoney polls. He also serves on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Economic Advisory Council and has provided advice to a number of government groups, including the 15th Finance Commission and the India Semiconductor Mission.
Mishra presently resides in Mumbai and has held roles in Singapore and Taipei in the past.
According to the Credit Suisse website, he offers business advice and has just joined the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Economic Affairs Council.
Mishra’s experience includes work in metals and mining, Indian pharmaceuticals, Taiwan IC design, semiconductor foundries, and Asian tech strategy research. He worked as a Senior Technical Architect for Infosys Technologies before joining Credit Suisse. He has also worked for Hindustan Lever Limited and pursued a business career.
The computer science veteran received a ‘Distinguished Alumnus Award’, the highest honor given by IIT to its alumni in recognition of their accomplishments in their respective fields, from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, where he graduated in computer science and engineering and won a gold medal.
