BJP leaders Anurag Thakur, Manoj Tiwari and Suresh Rana energised audiences on the sixth day of Jaanta Raja, a theatrical production organised in connection with the service initiatives of Divya Prem Seva Mission.
Former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur called protesters at Jantar Mantar ‘New Mughals’, alleging that they lacked awareness of India’s heritage and culture.
He warned against forces allegedly seeking regime change and said India’s youth would resist attempts to place the country under foreign influence.
Thakur highlighted the sacrifices of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Maharana Pratap. He also paid tribute to Padma Vibhushan Babasaheb Purandare, the late author of Jaanta Raja.
Thakur said Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s struggle represented the establishment of Hindavi Swaraj and the pursuit of dignity.
He praised Divya Prem Seva Mission president Dr Ashish Gautam for serving underprivileged communities for three decades.
Manoj Tiwari Highlights Shivaji Maharaj’s Valour
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said he had watched Jaanta Raja three times, including once throughout all seven days. He said each performance filled him with immense energy. Through poetry, he urged people to draw inspiration from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s courage.
Uttar Pradesh BJP Vice-President Suresh Rana recited Kavi Pradeep’s patriotic poem Is Mitti Se Tilak Karo, Yeh Dharti Hai Balidan Ki.
His performance prompted thousands of students at Suncity to raise slogans of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Jai Jai Jai Shivaji, Jai Bhavani’.
Dr Ashish Gautam also invited spectators to illuminate their mobile phone torches in tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Jijamata.
Organising committee convener Vinay Chaudhary announced that the October 28 performance would be open to everyone without tickets. The organisers would also provide prasad after the show.
Several political leaders, public figures and journalists attended the event. Kuldeep Azad conducted the programme.
