B Praak Gets Emotional As Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Concludes In Chandigarh

Popular singer B Praak became emotional as the seven-day Shrimad Bhagwat Katha concluded at Mela Ground in Sector 34, Chandigarh. Thousands of devotees attended the religious gathering, which featured devotional songs, spiritual discourses and moving moments of faith.

Addressing storyteller Indresh Maharaj, B Praak said, “Guru Ji, forgive me if I have made any mistake.” He urged devotees to apply the lessons they had learnt during the week to their daily lives, abandon negative habits and embrace good values.

During his discourses, Indresh Maharaj encouraged devotees to practise patience, perform their duties and remember God through prayer. He cited Mirabai as an example of patience and emphasised the importance of self-restraint, humility and respect for others.

Drawing lessons from Lord Krishna’s role in the Mahabharata, he said people should avoid seeking personal credit and learn to put others first. He also described Vrindavan as a symbol of love and encouraged devotees to pursue spiritual growth.

Devotional Performances Draw Crowds

The gathering featured a specially constructed pond where organisers arranged a boat ride for Lord Krishna’s idol. B Praak and Indresh Maharaj also participated in the activity. Both later sang together, while devotees joined Dandiya celebrations.

According to the organisers, people travelled from Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali and nearby areas to attend the event. B Praak said the gathering had been organised for the third consecutive year, with an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 devotees attending daily.

Several attendees praised the programme and highlighted the participation of young people. Isha welcomed the announcement of next year’s Ram Katha, while Rahul, Rishima, Sandeep and Vandana also appreciated the gathering.

B Praak said his grandfather’s association with religious events had inspired him to continue the tradition. Organisers announced plans for a nine-day Ram Katha in Chandigarh next year.

The event concluded with messages of faith, love, patience and good deeds for devotees to carry into their everyday lives.
