CM Yogi Greets People On First Day Of Navratri; Prays For Happiness In Every Home

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday greeted people on the first day of Sharadiya Navratri, praying for peace, harmony, prosperity and happiness in every home.

In a post on X, Yogi offered prayers to Adi Shakti Goddess Shailaputri and expressed hope that her blessings would bring strength, patience and positive energy into everyone’s lives.

The Chief Minister prayed that the Goddess bless everyone with strength, patience and positive energy, spread peace, harmony and prosperity worldwide, and fill every home with happiness and auspiciousness.

He concluded his post with “Jai Ma Shailaputri” and also shared a Sanskrit mantra dedicated to the Goddess, whom devotees worship on the opening day of the nine-day festival.

Navratri celebrates Goddess Durga and her nine forms, with devotees across India observing prayers, rituals and other religious practices throughout the festival.

Sharadiya Navratri begins in the Hindu lunar month of Ashwin and culminates with Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, which symbolises the victory of good over evil.

Goddess Shailaputri, whose name means ‘daughter of the mountain’, represents the first form of Goddess Durga. Devotees worship her on the opening day, seeking divine blessings, strength and well-being.
