Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, in a statement on Friday, said the former Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to our hospital in New Delhi due to bronchitis.
It’s the second time she has been admitted to a hospital this year. She had been admitted to a Delhi Hospital in January too for treatment of a viral respiratory infection.
Chairman of Trust Society, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, DS Rana said, “Gandhi has been admitted to the hospital under the supervision of Arup Basu, senior consultant, Department of Chest Medicine, and his team, on account of fever”.
A spokesperson of the hospital said, “She was admitted to the hospital on Thursday”. “Her condition is stable”, the spokesperson added.
He further said, “Gandhi is under observation and undergoing investigations”.
