Cybercrime A Major Global Threat, Says Amit Shah Ahead Of National Conference

Authorities have strengthened security ahead of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) concluding public rally in Tamil Nadu, scheduled for Sunday evening.

The rally, led locally by Tamil Nadu BJP leader Nainar Nagendran, will begin at 5 PM in the Pallathivayal area near Balan Nagar, Tirukokarnam, Pudukkottai. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address the gathering.

Police have banned drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in and around the venue for the day. Officials said the restriction aims to prevent any untoward incidents. They warned that violators would face strict legal action.

Senior police officials are overseeing the preparations. Officers have set up frisking and checking points at all entry routes, erected barricades to control crowd movement, and deployed surveillance teams across the rally grounds.

Additional police personnel will monitor key roads to manage traffic and ensure smooth vehicle flow.

The rally marks the final leg of the BJP’s statewide campaign in Tamil Nadu. Party leaders expect a large turnout of workers and supporters.

They see the event as vital for energising cadres and reinforcing organisational strength ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. Senior State and district leaders will also be present on the dais.

Police have urged the public to cooperate with security measures and follow restrictions.

They advised motorists to anticipate traffic diversions and plan travel accordingly. Authorities assured that all steps are in place to keep participants and the public safe, allowing the rally to proceed peacefully and in an orderly manner.
