PM Modi’s Ayodhya Visit Marked By High Security & Historic Flag Hoisting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ayodhya on Tuesday to hoist the sacred saffron flag atop the newly constructed Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, a moment that residents describe as the fulfilment of a centuries-old aspiration.

He is expected to arrive around 9:30 AM, and authorities have placed Ayodhya on high alert ahead of his visit.

Security forces have significantly tightened checks at all entry gates leading to the Ram Mandir.

Police, Rapid Action Force personnel, and specialised surveillance teams are monitoring the area to ensure the smooth conduct of the ceremony.

In line with these measures, officials will not allow guests to carry mobile phones inside the temple premises.

Meanwhile, Ram Path, one of Ayodhya’s key approach routes, showcases vibrant floral decorations for the occasion.

Special prasad has also arrived at the temple for the large number of devotees expected to witness the ceremony.

Symbolic Saffron Flag to Mark Temple Completion

The specially crafted saffron flag, measuring 22 feet by 11 feet, signifies the ceremonial completion of the Ram Temple’s construction.

A parachute specialist from Ahmedabad designed the flag, giving it a weight of two to three kilograms and engineering it to withstand strong winds atop the 161-foot summit and the 42-foot flagpole.

It features the Sun symbol, representing Lord Rama’s Suryavanshi heritage and divine radiance.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the occasion as a ‘golden chapter’ in India’s civilisational journey.

In a post on X, he wrote that the hoisting of the grand saffron flag by Prime Minister Modi, in the presence of RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat, symbolises the nation’s spiritual and cultural resurgence.

PM Modi’s association with the Ram Mandir dates back to August 2020, when he laid the foundation stone following the Supreme Court’s landmark verdict that allocated the disputed 2.77-acre site for the temple.

He later presided over the consecration of the idol of Ram Lalla on 22 January 2024.

Rituals and Extended Darshan Arrangements

For the ceremonial rituals, 108 Acharyas from Ayodhya, Kashi, and South India will conduct proceedings under the supervision of renowned Kashi scholar Ganeshwar Shastri.

Devotees arriving the day after the flag hoisting will benefit from extended darshan timings of 15–16 hours, with no VIP movement permitted.

Darshan and Aarti passes must be booked online through the Trust’s official portal. ID verification and QR-code downloads are mandatory, and bookings may pause temporarily due to security protocols.

Authorities have urged visitors to reach Ayodhya a day early to avoid congestion.

Authorities recommend public transport and shuttle services, and they advise travellers to carry minimal baggage.

They will issue real-time updates on crowd and route management through official channels.
