Dharma Dhwaja Revealed Ahead Of PM Modi’s Historic Ceremony At Ayodhya’s Ram Temple

The first images of the revered Dharma Dhwaja emerged on Tuesday, ahead of the grand flag-hoisting ceremony set to be performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Ram Temple.

The specially crafted flag measures 22 feet in length and 11 feet in width, standing as a symbol of dignity, unity, and cultural continuity.

Designed by a parachute specialist from Ahmedabad, the flag weighs between two and three kilograms.

Engineers have built it to withstand the strong winds at the temple’s 161-foot summit, where officials will raise it on a 42-foot flagpole.

The radiant Sun, representing Lord Ram’s brilliance and valour, features prominently on the flag, alongside the sacred ‘Om’ symbol and the outline of the Kovidara tree.

The Dharma Dhwaja will rise atop the temple’s Shikhar, which features the traditional Nagara architectural style of North India.

In contrast, builders have designed the nearly 800-metre boundary wall in the South Indian temple style, creating a unique fusion of architectural traditions that reflects Ayodhya’s rich cultural heritage.

Ayodhya Prepared for PM Modi’s Arrival

With PM Modi scheduled to hoist the sacred flag, authorities have implemented extensive security arrangements at all entry points of the Ram Mandir.

The temple premises now bloom with floral decorations, especially along Ram Path, which teams have beautifully adorned for the occasion. Special prasad has also arrived for devotees attending the ceremony.

Security officials will prohibit mobile phones inside the temple premises during the event.

The unveiling of the Dharma Dhwaja has evoked strong emotions among devotees and priests, who described the day as historic and spiritually uplifting.

Many expressed pride and joy, noting that the event symbolises a long-awaited moment for millions of Indians.

One devotee said, “This is a wonderful event and a proud moment for our Bharat. Being here fills us with immense pride and energy. Words cannot fully capture our happiness today.”

Another devotee remarked that the ceremony felt like the fulfilment of a long-cherished aspiration, highlighting the significance of PM Modi’s role in leading the celebrations.

Priests also shared moving accounts. Priest Bhola Patwa recalled a prayer he had made in 1971, expressing gratitude that the vision of witnessing the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple had now become reality.

Another priest praised the transformation of Ayodhya and the dedication behind the construction of the new temple.

Due to the Prime Minister’s visit, the Ram Temple will remain inaccessible to the general public until 2:30 PM.

Only invited guests with QR-coded passes will be allowed entry during the ceremony.

Regular darshan will resume thereafter and may continue late into the night to accommodate the large number of expected visitors.

On the following day, authorities will extend darshan timings to 15–16 hours, ensuring devotees travelling from afar can offer prayers without inconvenience.
