The National Fertilisers Limited (NFL) is turning Chandrashekhar Azad Park in Delhi into a vibrant public gallery through its CSR initiative.
In East Shahdara, artists are painting traditional Indian-style murals on walls across the park, adding bursts of colour and cultural storytelling to the urban landscape.
Officials said the project will cover 60 locations in the park, enhancing the area’s aesthetics and creating a more inspiring environment for residents and visitors alike.
The murals feature women in traditional poses, floral patterns, and cultural motifs painted in vivid reds, oranges, and yellows.
One striking piece shows a woman holding a lotus in rich scarlet. Other murals display blooming flowers against bright yellow walls.
These artworks celebrate nature, heritage, and India’s artistic legacy, turning ordinary walls into engaging visual narratives.
Vibrant Murals Transform Park
NFL sponsors this initiative to beautify the city and raise environmental awareness.
Officials believe the murals will generate positive energy, foster community pride, and strengthen connections to Indian culture.
Residents have welcomed the initiative, describing it as a “colourful revival” that energises the neighbourhood and enhances public spaces.
The CSR drive is ambitious. Officials plan to replicate similar mural projects across 60 locations in Shahdara North.
They will expand the beautification efforts to neighbouring areas.
By integrating art into public spaces, the initiative uses creativity as a tool for urban renewal and cultural engagement.
Beyond painting walls, NFL aims to merge public art with environmental stewardship.
The project demonstrates how corporate social responsibility can go beyond traditional outreach to enhance shared spaces meaningfully.
The murals serve not just as decoration. They reflect a commitment to community well-being and civic pride.
As the colourful transformation progresses, Chandrashekhar Azad Park evolves from a simple green lung.
Artists turn it into a dynamic canvas, blending art, history, and nature.
The initiative positions the park as a cultural landmark, creating a lasting impression on residents, visitors, and art enthusiasts.
