After the NDA’s sweeping victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, the JD(U) launched a sharp political attack on the RJD. It unveiled visually striking Mahabharata-themed posters across Patna.
The ruling party has moved into full offensive mode, signalling that the political battle will continue well beyond the ballot.
JD(U) MLC Neeraj Kumar installed the most talked-about poster on Bailey Road.
The artwork portrays RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav as Dhritrashtra and Rabri Devi as Gandhari. It also depicts Tejashwi Yadav as Duryodhana and RJD MP Sanjay Yadav as Sanjay.
Lalu, depicted as a blind king in the poster, asks, “Sanjay, dekh kya dikh raha hai?” Sanjay Yadav replies, “Maharaj, Haryana mein mall dikh raha hai,” directly invoking the corruption allegations raised by NDA leaders against the RJD.
Poster Sparks Controversy
By showing Tejashwi as Duryodhana, the party suggests that dynastic politics and ‘family-first’ decisions pushed the RJD toward political decline.
The poster ends with the bold caption “Maha Bihar,” underscoring the NDA’s message that voters have chosen development over dynasty.
The timing of the poster campaign makes the JD(U)’s intent clear. The ruling alliance wants to seize the narrative moment and keep the RJD on the defensive after its crushing defeat.
NDA leaders have used mythological parallels to embarrass opposition leaders before. This post-election strike has already intensified political chatter in Patna.
The RJD, meanwhile, is dealing with internal tensions. Tej Pratap Yadav has indirectly taken jabs at Sanjay Yadav, calling him “Jaichand.” His remark clearly signals growing friction inside the party.
The mood within the RJD camp remains grim, with leaders openly expressing disappointment.
The final seat tally reflects the NDA’s dominance. The BJP won 89 seats, JD(U) 85, LJP (Ram Vilas) 19, HAM(S) five, and RLSP four.
The RJD collapsed to just 25 seats. Congress won six, AIMIM five, CPI(ML)(L) two, and BSP, Indian Inclusive Party, and CPI(M) one each.
With the NDA firmly in control, Bihar’s political arena is now bracing for a fiery post-poll narrative war.
The JD(U) has already kick-started this battle with its mythological-themed attack.
