Bihar Election 2025: NDA Sweeps Patna; Wins 11 Of 14 Seats

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) delivered a decisive performance in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. With incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar set to take oath for a historic tenth term. The alliance’s sweep stunned the Mahagathbandhan, which managed to retain only a few seats in Patna district.

In Patna, the NDA captured 11 of 14 constituencies, leaving the opposition struggling to hold ground.

Only Bhai Virendra (RJD) from Maner, Ramanand Yadav (RJD) from Fatuha, and Sandeep Saurav (CPI-ML) from Paliganj retained their seats.

In key results: BJP’s Nitin Naveen defeated RJD’s Rekha Kumari Gupta in Bakipur by a margin of 51,936 votes.

In Patna Sahib, BJP candidate Ratnesh Kumar beat Shashant Shekher of Congress by over 39,000 votes.

NDA Dominates Patna Assembly Seats

RJD’s Ramanand Yadav won Fatuha against Rupa Kumari of LJPRV by 7,992 votes.

In Phulwarisarif (SC), JD(U)’s Shyam Rajak led against CPI-ML’s Gopal Ravidas by 13,844 votes after 24 rounds of counting.

BJP’s Siyaram Singh Yadav won Barh by over 25,000 votes against RJD’s Karnveer Singh Yadav. Maner remained with RJD as Bhai Virendra defeated Jitendra Yadav of LJPRV by 20,000 votes.

Baktiyarpur saw a narrow victory for LJPRV’s Arun Kumar over RJD’s Anirudh Kumar by just 981 votes.

JDU strongman Anant Singh won Mokama by 28,206 votes.

Furthermore, Anant Singh defeated RJD’s Veena Devi while in judicial custody.

BJP’s Ram Kripal Yadav won Danapur by 29,133 votes. Sanjeev Chourasia of the BJP dominated Digha by over 55,000 votes.

Bikram went to BJP’s Sidhartha Saurav, defeating Congress’s Anil Kumar by 5,106 votes.

CPI-ML’s Sandeep Saurav won Paliganj by 6,655 votes, and JD(U)’s Arun Manjhi captured Masaudhi with a 7,843-vote margin.

Kumhrar returned to the BJP as Sanjay Kumar defeated Indradeep Kumar Chandravanshi by 47,525 votes.

The Patna results underscore the NDA’s strategic strength and widespread voter appeal.

The alliance won 11 of 14 seats, establishing a commanding foothold in the state capital.

The opposition must regroup and reconsider its strategy ahead of Bihar’s new political chapter.
