The Adani Ahmedabad Marathon (AAM), one of Gujarat’s leading sporting events, announced a creative partnership with award-winning designer Aaquib Wani for its ninth edition, set to take place on November 30, 2025.
Adani Sportsline and Wani have launched an open call for design submissions, encouraging the public to share ideas that will shape the official marathon jersey.
Wani will integrate the selected concepts into the final design, transforming the jersey into a symbol of unity, creativity, and civic pride. This initiative aligns with the marathon’s longstanding commitment to the cause #Run4OurSoldiers, which honours India’s armed forces.
Renowned Designer Brings Storytelling to Sportswear
Forbes recognised Aaquib Wani in its 30 Under 30 (Design) list, celebrating him for creating India’s cricket team jerseys and the official kits for national contingents at the Asian Games 2023 and the Paris 2024 Olympics. His design philosophy blends storytelling with functionality, extending from cultural installations to sportswear and festival art.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Wani said, “Designing the official jersey for the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon is a thrilling opportunity. Ahmedabad’s deep-rooted artistic culture will undoubtedly inspire creative inputs from participants. Together, we aim to craft a jersey that reflects both the city’s identity and the marathon’s spirit.”
Since its inception, the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon has evolved into a movement of gratitude towards India’s soldiers.
The Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) recognised the event globally in 2022, and the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) certified it.
The 2025 marathon will begin at the Sabarmati Riverfront Sports Park. The route will pass through iconic landmarks such as Atal Bridge, Gandhi Ashram, and Ellis Bridge.
It will include four categories: full marathon, half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km runs. The event invites runners of all ages and abilities to participate in a celebration of fitness, creativity, and patriotism.
