
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil a historic development package for Rajasthan on Thursday. Marking the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
He will lay the foundation stone and dedicate projects worth over ₹1,22,670 crore in Banswara to the nation.
Out of this, projects worth more than ₹1,08,468 crore will directly benefit Rajasthan. It will include the ₹42,000 crore Mahi Banswara Nuclear Power Project, which will become the state’s second nuclear facility.
As part of India’s Panchamrit Action Plan, the Prime Minister will initiate clean energy projects and transmission networks worth ₹63,683 crore.
These include seven solar power ventures worth ₹14,445 crore. Transmission lines costing ₹13,183 crore to evacuate renewable power from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone Phase 4 and Phase 5.
Rajasthan’s Mega Growth Initiative
Together, these projects will add a generation capacity of 9.6 GW across five states, accelerating India’s transition towards clean energy.
The Prime Minister will also launch and inaugurate significant water resource projects worth ₹20,833 crore.
These include the Ram Jal Setu Link Project, the Mor Sagar Artificial Reservoir in Ajmer, and the Brahmani Barrage in Chittorgarh.
Road infrastructure will get a boost with projects worth ₹2,636 crore, while drinking water initiatives worth ₹5,884 crore will ensure a safe and accessible supply for rural and urban households.
Social infrastructure projects will also be inaugurated. Bharatpur will receive a new 250-bed RBM Hospital built at a cost of ₹128 crore.
Jaipur will gain from an Information Technology Advancement and Digital Governance Hub valued at ₹140 crore, whereas sanitation and water supply projects costing ₹226 crore will be initiated in Makrana (Nagaur) and Mandawa (Jhunjhunu).
To strengthen connectivity, the Prime Minister will flag off three new trains via video conferencing: the Bikaner-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express and Udaipur City-Chandigarh Express.
Employment will take priority as appointment letters are handed over to 15,000 youth across Rajasthan.
The jobs include 5,778 animal attendants, 4,197 junior assistants, 1,800 instructors, 1,464 engineers, 1,200 teachers and other posts.
This wide-ranging development push in energy, water, roads, health, education, and jobs will help Rajasthan grow faster and become self-reliant.
