The nation is celebrating the Prime Minister’s 75th birthday. The occasion includes the launch of health, welfare, and development programmes, drawing tributes from political leaders.
As part of the celebrations, the Prime Minister will visit Bhainsola village in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh. He will lay the foundation stone of India’s first PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) Park. This initiative is a significant step toward boosting the state’s textile industry.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate two key national initiatives:
- Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar (Healthy Women, Empowered Families), and
- The eighth Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month)
The initiatives aim to strengthen health and nutrition services for women, children, and adolescents.
From 17 September to 2 October, more than one lakh health camps will take place nationwide, marking India’s largest-ever health outreach campaign.
These camps will offer women-focused preventive, promotive, and curative services. Services will include screenings for non-communicable diseases, anaemia, tuberculosis, and sickle cell disease, as well as maternal and adolescent check-ups.
Immunisations and nutrition counselling will also be provided.
Specialist care in gynaecology, paediatrics, dermatology, ENT, psychiatry, and other fields will be provided through public and private medical institutions.
Blood donation drives will also be organised nationwide, with donors registered via the e-Raktkosh portal and engagement facilitated through the MyGov platform.
