Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his two-day visit to Bihar on Thursday, his first trip to the state since Operation Sindoor, with thousands of supporters giving him a grand welcome during his roadshow from Patna Airport to the BJP state office.
PM Modi landed at Patna Airport around 4:30 PM. Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, and BJP leader Dilip Jaiswal received him at the airport.
Soon after, the Prime Minister led a roadshow through the city. Supporters showered flower petals and shouted slogans.
The route passed through Sheikhpura Mor, Hartali Mor, Patna High Court, and Income Tax Roundabout.
The procession ended near the BJP State Office on Bailey Road at around 6:15 PM.
Meanwhile, the crowd displayed posters of Operation Sindoor and the BrahMos missile. These highlighted themes of national pride and defence.
Later, PM Modi inaugurated the new terminal of Loknayak Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport. The terminal, built at ₹1,400 crore, boosts the city’s air infrastructure.
Crucial Strategy Meeting At BJP Office
Afterwards, the Prime Minister met with BJP core committee members at the state office. The closed-door meeting focused on poll strategy.
Party leaders discussed seat-sharing, candidate selection, booth mobilisation, and key talking points. Development and national security remained at the core.
Then, PM Modi headed to Raj Bhavan for the night. On 30 May, he will visit Bikramganj in Rohtas district. There, he will address a large rally and highlight the government’s work.
The Prime Minister will then return to Patna and leave for Kanpur. In Kanpur, he will inaugurate an underground metro line. This move strengthens his urban infrastructure push across India.
