On Wednesday, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, along with Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, offered detailed insights into the execution and outcomes of Operation Sindoor, highlighting the unified approach of India’s armed forces.
The interaction focused on the high level of coordination achieved among the three services.
According to the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, the senior leadership discussed strategic clarity, integration across military domains, and effective implementation of joint operations while engaging with veterans and security experts.

Operation Sindoor
India launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May in response to the 22 April terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which left 26 people dead.
The operation saw Indian forces strike terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the deaths of over 100 militants linked to groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
In retaliation, Pakistan carried out cross-border shelling along the Line of Control and attempted drone attacks near border areas.
India responded with a coordinated assault, targeting radar stations, communication hubs, and airbases, damaging infrastructure across 11 Pakistani airbases.
Subsequently, on 10 May, both sides agreed to a cessation of hostilities, bringing a pause to the military exchange.
