Pakistani Media Spreads False Claims After India’s Midnight Strikes

After India carried out midnight strikes on terror camps, Pakistani media, notably Samaa TV, embarked on a baseless misinformation campaign.

One major channel claimed that India had ‘hoisted a White Flag to accept defeat’, followed by false reports of India acknowledging the downing of its fighter jets.

Indian authorities have widely debunked these reports and have not acknowledged any such events.

Propaganda Alert: PIB Debunks Fake White Flag Claim

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) exposed Pakistan’s propaganda by clarifying that a 2019 video was falsely shared to claim the Indian Army waved white flags at the LoC.

PIB clarified that the video actually shows the Pakistan Army raising white flags to recover bodies of its own soldiers under a ceasefire.

Pakistani social media users are circulating the misleading clip amid rising tensions following India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’.

Additionally, the report lacked any substantial evidence, such as reactions from the Pakistani military or credible sources.

The channel further compounded this bizarre claim by publishing a low-resolution image that failed to provide any proof to support their narrative.

Misinformation Alert

Pakistan-based social media accounts are circulating an old video, falsely alleging strikes on a military base in Amritsar.

PIB confirms that the video actually shows a wildfire from 2024.

The public is urged to avoid spreading unverified content and rely solely on official Government of India sources for accurate updates.

Celebrations In Pakistan?

Adding to the absurdity, other Pakistani media outlets picked up the claim, reporting that jubilant celebrations broke out across Pakistan after India’s supposed surrender.

One website even claimed that ‘people filled mosques’ to thank the almighty and raised slogans in support of the Pakistan Army.

However, the report failed to provide any details about where or when these celebrations took place, nor did it include any accompanying photos to substantiate the claim.

False Report On Downed Aircraft

Samaa TV also reported that India had admitted to the downing of three fighter jets, which is categorically false.

The report went further to claim that the Pakistan Air Force had destroyed five Indian aircraft.

However, India has not confirmed any reports of its jets being downed, and no valid evidence has surfaced to validate these claims.

Airspace Breach & Kamikaze Drones

There has been speculation regarding whether Indian fighter jets breached Pakistani airspace during the strikes.

According to the Indian military, the jets did not enter Pakistani airspace.

Instead, the Indian forces deployed Kamikaze drones, or loitering munitions, which carried warheads and struck targets with precision.

Pakistan has acknowledged that Indian jets did not enter its territory, with its military stating, “This cowardly and shameful attack occurred from within India’s airspace. We never allowed them to intrude into Pakistan’s space.”

Pakistani media spread misinformation following India’s ‘Operation Sindoor,’ attempting to shape the narrative without any factual basis.

As the situation unfolds, India’s official stance remains focused on neutralising terrorist threats, while Pakistan’s media continues to misrepresent the events in a bid to frame the conflict in a false light.
