Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh recently took a trip down memory lane, reliving his childhood days by binge-watching the classic 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire. The actor shared his experience on Instagram stories, posting a video of himself watching the iconic movie on his laptop.
‘Back to being the II-year-old me,’ he captioned the post, evoking a sense of nostalgia for the much-loved film.
The Timeless Charm Of ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’
Mrs. Doubtfire, directed by Chris Columbus, is based on Anne Fine’s 1987 novel Madame Doubtfire. The film stars Robin Williams, Sally Field, Pierce Brosnan, Harvey Fierstein, and Robert Prosky. The heartwarming comedy follows a recently divorced actor who disguises himself as an elderly female housekeeper in order to spend time with his children.

The film further won several accolades, including an Academy Award for Best Makeup and a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Robin Williams also received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his memorable performance.
Neil Nitin Mukesh’s Career Journey
Neil Nitin Mukesh, who is the son of playback singer Nitin Mukesh and grandson of legendary singer Mukesh, began his career as a child artist. He debuted in Vijay (1988) and Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharnii (1989). His first full-fledged role came in Johnny Gaddaar (2007), where he played the lead role.
Since then, Neil further appeared in a variety of films such as New York (2009), Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015), Golmaal Again (2017), and Saaho (2019). The actor expanded his repertoire to South Indian cinema, making his Tamil debut with Kaththi in 2014 and his Telugu debut with Kavacham in 2018.
A New Chapter In Neil’s Career
Neil’s latest project is Hisaab Barabar, a satirical action comedy directed by Ashwni Dhir. The film, which stars R. Madhavan, Kirti Kulhari, Rashami Desai, and Faisal Rashid, follows the story of a railway ticket checker who uncovers discrepancies in minor bank transactions, which eventually leads him to expose systemic corruption. Released on January 24, Hisaab Barabar is currently streaming on ZEE5.
